Elephant is another in the long and illustrious line of mountain Courses by John Revori. John has multiple talents both in designs and does a great job reviewing them as well. Elephant is a kick to play. Looks great, less filling. The strategic elements are what stands out with Elephant. One of the wierd things about living in the N.W. is where they have removed a swath of trees for power line transmissions. John even represented that. Cool idea or what? Splash screens and stuff were marked down do to the simplicity, and I would love to see John take his overheads to the next level by adding elevation shading. Course map was basically stock. I didnt care for the bunker texture or the way the bunkers were set. Dont let these minor nits keep you from playing Elephant because the strategic element should not be missed. Lovely horizon work helped the score. Overall a very nice course and a true hard drive keeper. Thanks John this course is fun!
